Notable Projects
Headlights Firmware | Hardware | App
May 2023 - December 2023
Designed a 100v current-mode digital SMPS from scratch for driving high-voltage headlights.
Hardware - half-bridge bootstrapping, slew rate tuning, dead-time insertion, layout optimization, high voltage/current considerations, “crumple zones”.
Firmware - maximal constant evaluation, (de)serialization, procedurally defined multi-target command pattern with idempotence, safety critical guarentees by proof, high-precision feedback, hardware driven concurrency, time-sensitive routines, persistent configuration, multi-redundancy, monomorphized dynamic dispatch.
LEGv8 Simulator Source
September 2022
Created a comprehensive LEGv8 assembly simulation and analysis software for educational purposes.
Features - stack and frame pointer tracking across memory, “inspector” for comparing blame and value across time, breakpoints, line-by-line execution, verbose errors.
FOC Motor Controller Source
June 2021 - July 2021
Developed a high density FOC motor controller for use with SimpleFOC project. My board became a popular community choice.
Previous Work
ECE 196: Hands on Project, UCSD - Instructional Assistant
September 2022 - Present
Created curriculum: PCB design/assembly, embedded systems, BLE interaction with iPhone via Swift, Python, Arduino, etc.
Existential Robotics Lab, UCSD - Paid Intern
March 2022 - September 2022
Designed PCBs, learned about SLAM and autonomous planning. Worked on a team and coordinated efforts.
Spreadtrum Communications Inc, Sorrento Valley - Paid Intern
June 2019 - August 2019
Created software tools for bring-up. Interactive block diagram for validation. Worked on the office motorized chair and learned about general electronics.
